This tiny bowl solves a specific problem that's been bugging us for years: where is the best spot to keep your chain mail scrubber?

We worked with Brad Lail—a talented potter in New York's Hudson Valley—to make a limited run of these tiny, hand-thrown ceramic bowls.

They’re perfect for chain mail scrubbers, salt, sauces, rings, or anything that needs a small, special home.

It's the kind of piece that earns its permanent spot on your counter not just because it's cute, but because it's useful.

Details:

  • Approximately 2" x 3"
  • Food-grade glaze
  • Dishwasher and microwave safe

FAQs

Does the bowl have drainage holes?

Expand

We opted for no drainage, because if water is getting on your counter or window sill then it defeats the purpose of the bowl.

Over years of testing many bowls, we've found that moisture on the scrubber evaporates just fine, especially when the bowl has a nice sloping sidewall.

We typically like to rub our chain mail between our hands with a drop of soap to clean it. Rinse, place in your bowl and you're good to go!

Can you just add a ring to the chain mail to hang it?

Expand

Any metal in a shape other than the chain mail links could easily scratch your seasoning—and we don't want that to happen!

It also just feels better in your hand and is a more functional tool without any additional elements or branding.

Will you be getting more bowls in stock?

Expand

This was a limited run and we don't have a current timeline on restocking.

If you'd like us to continue to carry these bowls, or if you have any feedback please let us know at hello@fieldcompany.com.
