    Seasoning issues

High maintenance. I have to clean the pan with a little soap after every use, use the chain mess to get the harder pieces off the pan, then dry it over the stove and reseason it . Pan works great. But a long cleanup process every time.

Hi Daniel, thanks for your review! All you have to do to "season" the pan, is rub it with a little oil before you put it away so that the pan doesn't look dry. You don't need to heat it up. This oil protect the pan from rusting and will become your next layer of seasoning next time you cook.

Alternatively, if you don't use soap and there is still some leftover cooking oil / fat in your pan you can leave that as your protective layer and no need to add more seasoning. Sometimes if no food is burned to the surface, I'll simply wipe it out with a paper towel. It will become more intuitive after you use the pan a few more times, but if you ever have more questions feel free to reach out at help@fieldcompany.com!

    No. 8 cast iron skillet

I have nothing bad to say about this pan! Cast iron cooks food so much better! From frying to baking and everything in between. I’ve had the pan a few months now just let the pan heat up slow and get a nice even heat. Cleaning is super easy. The pans are expensive but you get what you pay for.

    What a terrific product!

I am NOT a cook. I’m ancient and even after all this time I have not conquered the kitchen. Not until now - I can barely believe my dinners. Additionally the game changer for me is clean up. I ditched all of my Teflon and took a leap of faith with Field’s 10” pan and what a great move. Could not be happier with the product and happily Field’s claims are true ! Who knew 😍
