The 8 ⅜" No.6 Cast Iron Lid is an exact fit for the No.6 Field Skillet. We derived our sizing system from vintage American-made cookware: the No.6 size measures 7" on the cooking surface 8 ⅜" and from edge to edge.

    I have a few cast iron skillets that are well seasoned, and this one is a keeper. I will say it did take a bit to be sure it's properly seasoned as it wasn't fully seasoned when received, but now it's great.

    I have a couple field company cast iron skillets and love them both. Reminds ma of growing up and my mom and grandma always cooked with cast iron.

    I love this pan!

    My parents raised us on cast iron pans so I have been using them my entire life. They are traditionally a bit heavy and one of the things I love about the field company is their lighter elegant design. I gift them often as well. Best purchase.

    I could not be happier with my #6! Making eggs, sauteing onions or broccoli rabe and garlic, you name it these pans are great! Picture is broccoli Rabe and garlic, and wild salmon, on my sisters stove.
