Use the Cast Iron Lid's self-basting ridges to maximize your skillet's capabilities: learn how to braise, steam, and melt with a Field lid, starting with braised chicken thighs.
Field Skillets draw inspiration from the lighter, smoother skillets of America’s cast iron manufacturing heyday. For our first lid, we put our spin on a cast iron innovation.

Ordered this and a lid. I already had a lid for my 12 but have had it since before the bronze was around. It is just the right splash of color to make the 12 stand out and look nice.

I ordered my 8' lid when they first became available, I apparently misread the email as I thought that it was to come with a bronze knob, I was disappointed! It is a wonderful addition to my set, The one I received came with a bent screw that wouldn't work so I had to use the original (how do you bend a stainless 10-24 & not notice). At about half the cost of a 8' lid it's pricey, maybe over-pricey.
I had been wanting to upgrade my 8' lid since
