Use the Cast Iron Lid's self-basting ridges to maximize your skillet's capabilities: learn how to braise, steam, and melt with a Field lid, starting with braised chicken thighs.
Field Skillets draw inspiration from the lighter, smoother skillets of America’s cast iron manufacturing heyday. For our first lid, we put our spin on a cast iron innovation.

This is a first cast iron experience for me. With the wonderful support of Field Co. I was able to season my two pans correctly and cook without anymore disasters. Scrambled eggs a big score.
Thank you so much for the great support and and recipes. Next, will be hamburgers!

I use this for my eggs. Very little sticks to this pan when I make scrambled eggs and to my surprise over easy eggs don’t stick at all!!

I don't usually write reviews but here goes!
I was new to cooking with cast iron and wasn't sure if I would like it. I am now a convert and plan on switching all my pans to Fields cast iron. Because they come preseasoned it made the switch so easy for me. I eat a fried egg sandwich at least once a week because it is so easy to fix and literally slides right out of my pan. Another thing I like about the Field pans is they don't scratch the glass on my induction cooktop. They have the logo on the bottom but it is smooth. I love my Fields cast iron pans.

When the No.6 Cast Iron Skillet and matching lid arrived, I immediately regretted not buying the next size up—it looked tiny next to my 12.5″ Lodge. That said, I couldn’t help admiring its smooth finish and lighter weight. After a few weeks of regular use, this skillet has become my go-to for roasting vegetables for single meals and toasting nuts, which I do often. It delivers evenly toasted results every time, and cleanup is quick and easy.
