    It's perfect!

The tight fit makes is so much better than wrapping in tin foil. We use this every day! Roasts in the oven are amazing!

    Awesome.

We have cooked in cast iron daily for years. The Field No. 10 is easily the best skillet we have ever used. Within two weeks of daily use, it had developed a very even non-stick seasoning. SO much lighter even than other brands smaller skillets. It is a big investment but it is definitely worth it.

    Very disappointed

I used it 1 time and the finish came off, now I have a very ugly pan with spots all over it and it looks like trash. It looks old and worn and I haven't used it more than 5 times. Very disappointed.

    Hi Tiffanie,
We're so sorry that your new pan is not meeting expectations. I do want to assure you that it is totally normal for your pan to look splotchy during the breaking in period. That's a sign that it's starting to develop seasoning through cooking (which is darker than our pre-seasoning due to the presence of carbon from your cooking).
Here is an article with more detail on the breaking in process along with a photo that shows the progression of seasoning: https://fieldcompany.com/pages/how-to-break-in-field-cast-iron

Please reach out to help@fieldcompany.com anytime if you have more questions, we want you to be successful with your new Field Skillet!

    Worth the money

This is my first Field pan, but it won’t be my last! If you’re comparing the price of Field pans to other less expensive ones, just buy a Field and see why they’re worth the money… You won’t be sorry.

    Loving it

The weight and size is great. Still working on maintenance on the seasoning; have hurt the original with cooking sticky pens plus too aggressive cleaning. However, easily reasoned with 2 trips through the oven.
