    Oh what a pot

    Oh, why did I wait so long to buy this work horse? Its first dish was a low and slow cholent of roasted veggies and Rancho Gordo beans I'd cooked up earlier in week. Then I braised some chicken thighs along with things from my garden. Then it was corn bread for the work week. And Jacob Cattle beans from Maine. Not sure if it was the pot or that I've not had Jacob Cattle beans for too long, but the result was just what I needed. Can't wait to do oso bucco or braised pearl onions. And others in the house have asked if I could try making them wings and donut holes this weekend.

    Field #8 Dutch Oven - Second

    Beautiful, quality, cast iron Dutch Oven.

    Really wish you would offer dutch ovens in sizes 10 & 12 Deep With 3 legs for cooking on trivets over wood coals.

    Also matched with rimmed lids to hold coals on top of lid..

    Everything I hoped it would be.

    When I first started buying Field Cast Iron pans a couple of years ago, it was intimidating. Now when I get a new item, I plan what I'm going to cook first even before I receive in the mail. I've used my new Dutch Oven a couple times already.

    As for it being a factory second, that was almost laughable it was such a slight imperfection. I couldn't believe I was lucky enough to check out the seconds and find a Dutch Oven, I ordered immediately. Good thing I did because they sold out quickly.
