Ingredients
1 pound asparagus
2 tablespoons unsalted butter
Kosher salt and freshly ground black pepper

Instructions
Trim the woody ends of the asparagus (where the color begins to fade from green to white). and rinse under cold water.
In a No.8 Field Skillet, melt the butter over medium heat.
When the butter begins to foam, add the asparagus and season with salt. Use a spatula to roll the stalks in the butter until coated. Cover the skillet and cook, shaking the pan occasionally, for 3 minutes.
Uncover the pan and continue cooking, rolling the asparagus occasionally with a spatula, until crisp tender, about 5 minutes longer. Season with salt and pepper and squeeze some lemon over the asparagus. Serve your cast iron asparagus.
