★★★★★
“This is a very nice pan. I have a couple of 100 year old cast iron skillets from my great grandmother and had been looking for another that was also somewhat lighter weight. This pan is great. It has been easy to season and is a great size.”

“I hesitated purchasing this pan due to the price and my experience with non stick and even cast iron pans. I followed the directions and after a few uses it is very non stick.”

Frequently Asked Questions

Cast iron is one of the only kitchen tools that gets better the more you use it. With basic care, a Field skillet should outlive you. Our first customers in 2016 are already a decade in and their pans cook better now than the day they arrived.

Yes to all of the above. Cast iron works on every cooktop, in the oven, on the grill, and over an open fire. It's one of the only pans that does—including induction cooktops. If you're still unsure, we encourage you to take advantage of our 45-day trial period.

We make our pans with exacting standards in small batches in the United States, machine-polish every cooking surface, and pre-season each one by hand. Most modern cast iron is mass-produced with a rougher finish. As soon as you pick it up, you'll feel the difference. We offer a 45-day trial to see for yourself.

Less than you think. Wipe it down after cooking, dry it well, and rub in a thin layer of oil. That's it. You don't need to avoid soap, you don't need to oven season it, and you don't need to baby it. Daily use is the best thing you can do for the pan.

Yes, all our pans are 100% manufactured in America, using recycled iron sourced from American vendors. The skillets are poured into sand molds, machine-polished, and seasoned by hand in specialized facilities throughout the Midwest.

Cook on our cast iron for 45 days in your own kitchen. If it isn't earning a spot on your stove, send it back for a full refund, less shipping costs. No questions, no judgment.
