Skillet, lid, and knob are all 100% cast iron and Made in the USA. Our vintage-style lid design includes self-basting ridges, to ensure even braising and steaming for stovetop and oven cooking.

The 8 ⅜" No.6 Cast Iron Lid is an exact fit for the No.6 Field Skillet. We derived our sizing system from vintage American-made cookware: the No.6 size measures 7" on the cooking surface 8 ⅜" and from edge to edge.

Every piece of Field cast iron cookware is seasoned with multiple coats of grapeseed oil for naturally non-stick cooking performance.

Field cast iron is made in the USA, using recycled iron sourced from American vendors, and following the same vintage-style green sand casting process used by our predecessors—with a few modern innovations.

    The BEST pan EVAH!

    I have been using cast iron pans my entire adult life but this pan is a cut above. The smooth surface allows for a nonstick cooking experience I don’t get on my other cast iron pans. I highly recommend this pan and plan to add more sizes to my collection. Just make sure to dry with heat and season with oil!!

    Great pan

    I have a few cast iron skillets that are well seasoned, and this one is a keeper. I will say it did take a bit to be sure it's properly seasoned as it wasn't fully seasoned when received, but now it's great.

    Cast iron skillet

    I have a couple field company cast iron skillets and love them both. Reminds ma of growing up and my mom and grandma always cooked with cast iron.

    I love this pan!

    My parents raised us on cast iron pans so I have been using them my entire life. They are traditionally a bit heavy and one of the things I love about the field company is their lighter elegant design. I gift them often as well. Best purchase.
